It looks good, and accepts HV as well.
Got to be worth a punt!!

Al.

It comes with plastic servo horns, hiss, boo. All they need to do is list the spline teeth count and I think these would sell like hot cakes.......

Still waiting for them to come back into stock in US warehouse. I don't have $80 in paypal or I'd pop for 2 of them, the $15 s/h is a turnoff.....The reviews all say good things about it being a quality piece arriving in a tin retail box. Pity too, cause my throttle servo just quit on me last week. Losi throttle servos are junk. #LOSB0885 s900t

Sorry

Hello,
On beginning i want to apologise for digging up an old topic but im in desperate need of information about the servo that is topic of this thread,

The TGY-1270HV Metal gear Digital Servo w/ Heat Sink 40kg / .18sec / 170g

Does anyone have bought it and maybe have it? I would be very grateful for information on its operating range. How far it can rotate?

Is it for example -60 degree and + 60 degree from neutral position (total 120 degree) or maybe something smaller like -45 , 0 , +45 (total 90 degree)?

I can generate very wide control signal to operate this servo ( from 64 us to 3280us) thats why i need to know what its maximum angle range (when its limited by some kind of internal mechanical block).

Also, not so important but how many tooths does the spline have and whats its diameter?

I will be extremly helpful for any help.
And sorry again for digging up this topic.

Regards,
Konrad

Here you go:
Ok, so after a healthy wait from the hobbyking shipping dept. it is finally here. Plugged it into a 7.2V Nimh pack until my Lipo/Life pack arrives and the power numbers are legit, like pushing against a brick wall. The .18 sec. transit time is adequate, not fast, but not slow and it centers quietly and operates within Savox noise levels, so quite good, really. The servo spline is a non-standard 17t and measure 8.7mm. in dia. Standard large scale servos such as Savox, Futaba, and Hitec are all 15t spline and 7.7 mm. in dia. The included single and double servo horns are thick reinforced nylon and will hold up to 1/5th. scale stresses. It arrives in a nice tin with a smaller footprint than most large scale servos, so plan on having to use washers on bolts to mount correctly.

Really strong servo! Will report back with bashing durability torture test. After 15 minutes of steady turning, sawing the wheels back and forth, the case is warm to the touch, no funny smells, but a tick of play in the gears (was common even in the Savox or Losi s900s servo). My only concern at this point is the quality of the gears, time will tell.

Thanks much for detailed answer, im actually waiting for this servo too right now, suspence is killin me when the package will finally arrive ._.

I should point out that in the video, the hum you hear is interference between the camera and the light fixture overhead. Also the servo buzz is coming from the Losi S900S (Savox product) I use for throttle/brake control, the Turnigy unit is near silent....

I bought that servo too, got package today.... and servo dead upon first installing

Plugged it to servo controller, servo had a lot of jitter from the start, when i told it to move right or left it would go there with big overshot and then would just jump arount that position and wouldnt stop. After minute it became completly unresponsive, not reacting to any change of controll signal and the motor is unpowered (you can move the arm by hand).

Just filled RMA and waiting to see how it will end.

Ugh, that doesn't sound good. It looks like the quality control might be suspect then. Keep us posted, as this one is still working very well for me. What servo controller do you have it on? This being a high voltage servo, needs more than 6 volts to operate. It is happiest on 2s lipo in the 7.2V to 8.4V range. I am still waiting for my Rx. pack to get here. Try feeding it more voltage direct from the receiver that might well be the issue. The buzzing on mine is very little and has not deteriorated yet, so I will be paying close attention.

Yeah, im sending it to their england warehouse tommorow so they can proceed with "initial evaluation"

Hey, its me again. Things went quite smooth. I filled an RMA case in between xmass new year eve period. I uploaded some photos of the servo, with really detailed close ups on case, mounting holes spline (to show that servo was really not used anywhere and there is not an even scratch), heck i even made a video where i showed what im doing to make servo run and how it reacts.

For like 3 days it was marked as 'awaiting initial evaluation' and when i was about to send the servo to given address i got an notification that my materials are being directed to product specialist. So i hid the package deep in my locker and waited to see what happens.

After few days i got a word from product specialist, he asked me some tricky questions and after that i got another notification that case is closed and the servo is indeed broken. They automaticaly placed an order under my account with this servo and some item called "HOLD ORDER / Replacement Parts" and its status was at PAID+INPRINTQUEUE+PRINTED and after few like 5 days it changed to shipped (appeared on tracking week after, its on its way from Malaysia to my country, currently with midlanding in UK).

Greta, they have a receiver of mine right now and are taking forever! They don't even know it has been delivered to them. It puffed smoke when I was trying to bind it to the Tx. never had that happen before. I own 10 of em'. They have been great so far including this servo, you might be impressed when you get a good one.

Any update on this servo?
I am thinking to buy 2pcs for steering of Redcat Rampage MT .
What about gear quality?
