So I've already decided on the 4 bold Rovan 30.5. I then heard about the Walbro carb upgrade (not sure which one it is, anyone got a link?).

So, as far as radio, servos and, well, the rest what would be a good setup. I don't want to buy cheap because I don't wanna buy twice. I realize that the rovan motor isn't really top of the shelf, but many people swear it's a great bang for the buck. I am going with the bartalone xp (I believe there's one that mounts better than another).

Basically, it's never going to be raced, but run hard. I've got a buddy that swears I'll regret getting it instead of a baja truck version, but eff that...I own Losi stuff and it's 2nd to none. Plus, I want him to eat crow when he drives this bad boy....;-)

So, hook me up y'all. I need a radio, receiver, servos, the correct bartalone pipe that doesn't vibrate or come loose or contact things (pretty sure I read about those problems somewhere) and possible upgrades to have on hand for when stuff starts to break, lol. I've been reading and reading and reading, but not everything in one thread so it's really hard to keep all of it straight. I think it would also be cool to have another channel setup to turn on some aftermarket led lights too. Anyone done that? I have three acres of pasture with short grass that is begging for me to tear up.

I know it's a lot of questions, but I know there's those out there willing to share their experiences so that I can learn from them instead of making mistakes from the get go on an already expensive hobby.

thanks for any help.

edit: I do realize that I will end up buying some stuff twice...nature of the beast....something will give at some time. I am not new to the hobby, been running r/c's for over 20 years now, from planes, to heli's (indoor and out), nitro r/c, electric etc. I can't wait to get into 1/5 scale!!!! woot

I did not end up getting one yet....I need to free up funds (buying other toys lol) before I drop big money into a big toy.

How long? is that what you meant?

I haven't gotten it yet, sent payment late friday before labor day weekend, and its scheduled to be delivered tuesday next week. So with the 3 day holiday weekend about 10 days total. However I ordered a bunch of parts from TGN on the same day as the rovan purchase and they got here yesterday (thursday), but was CA to CA ship, so was fast for me, dunno where rovan is located.
