So Chicago is finally getting some good snow!! Already went sledding with the kids and ran the XT!! The XT was awesome on the snow, (as expected) specially with the big J-Rock tires. After running it I decided to run my slash vxl 2wd. Such a disappointment, the small tires and the fact that it is a 2wd won't move in the snow! I ran that for about 6 minutes then decided to run my ECX Ruckus! The Ruckus was a little better than the Slash, I think the bigger tires helped but still a disappointment.... I guess I was more upset at the Slash than anything. I paid $260 for the slash and $130 for the Ruckus....what I'm really trying to say is no more 2wd RC vehicles for me!! Lol now I'm seriously thinking about selling or maybe trading the slash and ruckus lol but I the XT is a monster with 4wd!!

Re: Good snow!!

Awsome dude ya, I ran my xt in the snow recently and it was a blast!!! So I did it again and again haha

Ran the XT at the sledding hill today! the kids that were sledding made a ramp! WOW!! I'm surprised how well it jumped in the cold weather... no broken parts, but the shock oil was definitely super viscous! i was thinking maybe using a lighter weight shock oil since it thickens up in the colder weather!! BTW great to see you back RCDAD!!

I'm definitely getting ideas from this thread. I still have a considerable amount of snow here in Maine. I guess I'll have to fire up the old Rampage and give it a workout at some point this week. (insert evil laugh here) :D Good to see you back as well RCDAD. :)

Its a blast bashing and jumping in the snow! Just make sure to have a lighter weight shock oil in your shocks or you wont have a dampening ability! Its kinda like jumping on a trampoline and landing with straight knees! OUCH!!!!

The desert got some of the white stuff today. Crazy weather lately.
