came in post today ..A4 sheet of alloy (3mm) ...feels solid, & looks shiny!

im going to attempt to make a rear bumper to protect my dom pipe as atm my pipe sticks out at the rear so want summit to protect when the front end lifts.

I have a dremmel so gunna be cutting it using this, whats the best way to cut alloy? is there any method or just cut away?

ta :)

Prob best way mate for small items like these. A grinder will snag in ally so be careful if you go for that method :scared: If you do, make sure you get the really thin slitter discs rather than the standard cutting discs.

yea handtools rule i used a 27oz s wing hammer to fix my chassis oh and some mole grips you know its bad when the molegrips come out ,lol

molegrips rule  you can use em for everything including as a hammer

Andy i wondered what all me mole grips did i now have a doz hammers:lol:

a hacksaw with a coarse blade will be the easiest way to cut the 3mm alloy

the hard bit is to bend it without stressing and marking it to much

i used a piece of titanium for me marder for the rear bumper

and a piece of 70mm X 3mm alloy angle for me MCD m/t rear bumper

and like you 3mm alloy plate for me touring car using saw and files:lol:
