Age old question - how fast is it.

Found an answer, a GPS Logger from Hobby King. Weighs in at 51 grams, plugs into a open port on the RX for power. Probably too large to fit in the battery box, but I'm sure there is somewhere in the buggy where it will fit.

Hobby King is located in Hong Kong so express shipping is expensive, this came in under the 100 gram or less weight limit for International Air Parcel Shipping (Registered) and less then $4.00

I was thinking about mounting my Garmin somewhere, but held off - I don't want to bust the faceplate.

I first saw this video about a year ago. While I don't think I'll ever crash going this fast, I have crashed. Rather badly. I'd rather risk a $51 Data Logger, purpose built for the hazards!

[/ame]And, it's like a transponder. Take it out when you're not using it. I'm going to run a short servo extension out of the battery box's of my buggies to make it easy to move.

PS: email in my inbox. Shipped. Now to see how long it will take to get here.

I might have to pick a few of these up. There have been a few different speedos on their site, but every time I want one they're out.

I went to the site after I first saw the video and they were out. Just happened to watch video again yesterday, checked, and they had the newer version.

Quite the crash. awnings, tables and a laptop. One guy jumped at just the right time and didn't get hit.

I also grabbed a few before they run out. LOL

Just got the logger in the mail today. I guess it was held up while the Post Office verified the postage. I don't think they see Swiss Mail often. It's small enough to fit in about any nook or cranny, like between the battery box and gas tank.

It has a heavy duty case and the display is recessed. So it's larger then the one in the video. No instructions. There is a rocker switch to move between the screens. Haven't powered it up yet. Mounting some tires and foams, doing last minute changes like metal gears in the 5b getting ready for Buttercup.

Picked up a new boom box today at Best Buy. A Sony AM/FM, Bluetooth one. The laptop has Bluetooth, so I can feed the boom box from the iTunes library while I'm outside the trailer. Chicago, America, Queen or Cruxshadows anyone? Even have the album Hank Williams, Jr. released after Monday Night Football canned him. :)
