Made an upper deck to hold the ESC, capacitor pack and a BEC pro. The receiver will be located in the traditional location. Motor is on the way, 2028 with the dbl fan pack.

This car will have a fully covered under carriage so it's time to mount that and the body mounts.

You should put together an ultimate package that includes all your parts for this build.

Ol'fart, I have a question for you.... I noticed at the beginning of the thread you mentioned that you would be testing a belt drive on this build. Do you already have something in mind for the belt/pulleys? I have been picking up pieces of an Xb here and there with the intention of converting it to electric, belt drive. I was going to wait until I finished (even if it took me a year) to post my build on the forum. I have been looking into belts and pulleys....different pitches, etc. I figured that I would try out different widths and pitches until I found one that didn't get the teeth ripped off of it. This is the site I was looking at for the hardware:

Anyway....let me know, if you would, what you have in mind for the drive?

I love this build you have going here.....

Regards....

i have ordered belts and pullys but they are not in yet. I'm trying to find parts that fit in my motor mount and hold up to the 2028 sized motor.

I ordered 3mm pitch x 15mm wide HDT belts, an 18T and a 72T pully's. I'll also be trying my delrin/aluminum gears and a set of steel gears.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of your parts and the pictures you post. Up until that time, the belt drive will have always been just a vision in my head!!

Cheers...

No belt parts yet but I got the rest of the electric parts in.

As you can see the 2028 fits fine.

That's a good shot of the new steering set-up.

This is the basic layout of the electronics.

The instructions for the BEC PRO say to plug everything into the receiver but that's 6 plugs into four outlets ?? I think I'll run a small battery pack for the two fans and switch it manually.
