grrrrr!! help!

So I recently put new shock on my XT I bought some MT shock for the front!! Before I put them on I changed out the oil...no problem..but I seem to have a hard time tightening the cap or keeping them tight...I've put locktite, let it set overnight, but the other problem is the shock body is oversaturated with shock oil I don't think the locktite really sets...cuz 2 days later I'm still able to open up the cap by hand!! I've tried cleaning the shock body so no oil is present but still won't tighten...help!!

Try cleaning the shock body with some electronics cleaner. Or spray some carb cleaner on a rag and clean it that way.

I'll try it!! How do you fill the shock up with oil?? Too cap or bottom cap??

Top cap and work the shaft up and down to get the air bubbles out, be careful not to over fill it.....

yea i think that was my problem i was over filling it! when you tighten the cap piston up or down??

I fill it up from the bottom. Pull the cap out, fill it up to the thread, thread the cap back in about 3/4 of the way, then slowly push the shock shaft all the way in. Once it's all the way in, tighten up the cap and you're done.

I'll try that!! The top cap method is way too messy!! And I'm still having trouble tightening the cap!!
