I don't think it's me running lean or anything, I think it's a lemon. Tunning is simple just as long as you rich it when you've topped out on max performance on leaning.

You might want to get a stock CY 28.5 or 29.5 before you get into the bigger motors. If you lean sieze the big boy engines, it hurts alot more.
I don't think I lean seize my stock motor though Rob.... do you think so?

I never thought I did either. There is no way to tell really. Once the engine is lean, it pulls metal from the sides and you don't know where it comes from. especailly with the Mosnter Trucks, everyone wants more speed. "Maybe just a little more" kills alot of engines.

The first motor I lean siezed was a redcat sample. Forgot to add oil to the gas.

Yes... so what are your guideline to prevent running lean?

Run your engine at full throttle and then immediatly turn it off. Then, pull the plug and inspect it. The ideal mixture color is a brown dry color. As you go leaner from brown it will start turning grey and then to white. Richer from brown would be a dry black to a wet black when it's really rich.

Did you ever end up cracking the CrankCase Open and getting some pics.....
I am so sorry people! Don't mean to keep you guys waiting! Very sorry! I can't because I need to buy that tool to help open the crank case. Any idea where I can get that from? Besides... I'm currently trying to break in my new engine :D I've shelled out all my extra cash into the new engine so can't take crank case apart yet. I promise to you guys that I will and will upload detail info here! It's important that I figure out what really happened! Please check back later people! I need to fix a few thing on my XB and then I will buy the crank case tool to help me take it completely apart :D
