Has anyone used NOX and boost bottles?

As I am waiting to get my XT a buddy of mine with a FG has been on me to go ahead and order a nitrous system and a dual boost bottle system to put on mine. But I have never heard of anyone trying that on a Redcat,much less a stock motor. Granted his FG is stupid fast after he put the same stuff on his stock truck,and when he sprays it,it does wheelstand. But I'm new to Redcat and gas so I'm a nervous about it.Any thoughts and advice?

Boost bottles are pretty much useless. Nitrous isn't worth the hassle. Your tuning skills better be pretty good, or you'll be buying a new engine.

Great advise Dusty and Deluge both aren't worth the hassle and you can spend your money on something that will give better results.

And get about 5 tanks through it. That's when they seem to really wake up.

Ok thats what I was wondering.Is there any particular air filter, pipe and clutch spring I should use? I want it a bit torquey since I plan to run bigger wheels and tires than the stock xt size after I get it broken in and get I feel for it.

Baja air filters are the most common upgrade. Might want to get an Outerwears, too.

yes don t wast your money on yhat stuff get a ddm pipe had one hose power to your motor that way.

The guys at the local hobby shop also recommend the X-can also. Any thoughts on that pipe?

Go with a tuned pipe. The X-Can isn't really going to get the job done.

1+ on that the x can adds a little low end punch but a tuned pipe is way better.
