i was wondedring if my piston is recked ???? i cracked the engin head last sunday and didnt notice till i went to put a new exhust gasket on put when i looked at the piston it is scrached here is the picturs

it does looked a bit knackerd but if you have cracked the head youve got to replace that then buy a kit it will come with a new piston anyway i wouldnt bother just getting a head on its own handy time for a bigbore kit loads to chose from 23cc upto a 30.5cc you can spend from £50 -unlimited

its one of those things mate im on my fourth engine in a year and half got a oddified 23cc now i wish i had started with this one mega power 6+hp is yours a 2 bolt one if so youre spoilt for choice but standard wise zenoahs are about the best you can get

all depends on budget mate and what you want more power torque ect what cc ebay is a good place to look

I woudn't worry too mych about the piston surface being scratched as it's the ring that really matters, prociding that you clean up any burrs that may scratch the head.

But if the piston looks like this, I'm guessing the cylinder isn't too pretty. In which case, for the price, may as well replace em both.

its not it was runing fine and then i went to fit a new exhourst gasket and seen a crack in the head b4 that it was runing fine

Mike, while the heads off you may as well replace the piston etc. Go with a stuffed crank or something to ive you a little more go.

no mate the exhours side but the exhourst came of and i just put the screws in and carried on going could this by y ?
