Looks nothing like a losi. Engine is centered better in the chassis and the servo tray is way different then the losi. Only the way the engine is placed is similar to the losi.

so is the steering servo set up, centre diff, angled fr driveshaft
different clutch carrier, th servo position, chassis is similar to the aj conversion
it's a loose clone is my bet

my first bet is hsp..the style of shock tops, turnbuckles, front brace plate, shock towers look familiar

loose copy would be a better definition and granted there are only so many layouts out there but this is very similar drivetrain wise...however the rampage had a very similar layout to the mcd but isn't a clone so you're right...to be a clone it would have to be an exact copy..

also have just found out that it's not made by hsp...under oath so can't say who's built it but can say not a chinese company;)

My first thought was HPI too. It will almost certainly be a shared (stolen) platform acrossed several brands like the 5B. Figure KM, Rovan, ACME, Redcat, and anybody else invited to the party to put it in their box.....Looks really good to me.

lol, hpi...make something new...yeah right, it'll never happen. and why everyone is still looking for hpi to make a 4wd 5th i don't really know...their current offerings in smaller scales aren't exactly industry leaders...

a closer look at this truck will reveal how close to the losi the drivetrain layout is..

and a hint as to who is making it....not made in China

don't think any largescale rc's are made in the USA, except one, hpi made in Taiwan as is the losi, would imagine traxxas, associated etc are also manufactured offshore.

only one i know of is ferox, they machine some parts in US, Europe and Australia and are now owned by a top notch Virginian fellow called Len.

My first guess was Losi, but shot for HPI instead. Maybe just wishful thinking. If not Losi, than I would say Associated, but that's just a guess as well and wishful thinking again. It reminds me of there SC8. Which I always thought was a bad$$^& truck
