ported 28cc motor is dying after 4 or 5 min. of running, the primer bulb is full. its not running out of fuel. base gasket no visable leaks, acts like it is sucking air , or running out of fuel, any ideas ?? has good commpression so its not hot.
 
Who ported it? If som one was learning to port on it it might have done wrong. If it was professionally ported, then < would suggest checking to make sure the tank is vented, or the tank vent is clear. Sounds like it is depressurizing the fuel tank.
 
check to see if the fuel tank is pressurized. it sounds like it needs to be vented. how is the compression? (once it is warmed up) are you running a gaskit? the extra squish could couse too much compression and couse it to creare a leak once it gets warmed up, but i would check the fuel tank first. run it for a bit and pull the tank cap and see if it sucks air

You have clear fuel lines? How can you tell? There will normally be fuel in the return line, check the clunk location.


Check for holes in the fuel lines too, had that happen to me.


Varify one of the fuel lines has nolt colpased or is kinked, other than that try another carb.
 
Its not a pressure line its a return line. Gassers don't need pressure to run like nitros. Vent your gas cap to slove your problem. Use the search button find find more info on venting......
 
i ported it myself, commpression is fine when hot, has .020 clearence, so i increased commpresion a bunch, primer ball if full when it stalls out, no visable base leaks, i will try venting the cap, when it stalls the plug is dry, acts like it vaper locks,
 
run it and when it stalls, take the tank cap off then put it back on and see if it runs again. if so it is a tank vent problem.
 
thanks for the reply. i didnot , i think you are right, it would of had to be real close to start, i did not get to carred away around the intake port, herdly touched the transfers. opend the exaust, and pollished, removed alot on the intake . took most the center hump, not much around the intake port, please tell me more about window n
