The head is most important. If you got it cranked tight with out stripping you should be ok.Guantanamo Joe said:Should I have been using this chart? Guess I need to find a torque wrench...
No sealer. They seal fine dry.GoffeeRedCat said:So I got my gasket kit from ddm today!! My question is do I need to use a silicon sealer for gaskets like I use on cars?? If I do what's the best one?
I got a torque wrench!!! I was raised by a good backyard mechanic aka my dad who never tightened anything German tight he always used a torque wrench!!Deluge said:You could also over tighten the bolts and warp the cylinder. It's best to use a torque wrench. If you don't have one, you can snug them down and give them another 1/4 turn. I did it this way when I didn't have a proper torque wrench.
