im torn between these headkits. the zenoah 25.4 or the cy 28.5. I have 2 28.5 allready and they were a bear to start at first but i love the torque. zenoah's are a better quality, but am i going to sacrifice displacement? not sure if i should stick to what i know with the 28.5..

a tricked out 25.4 will out perform a 28.5 and still have lots of top end to boot .. whats your main running ? do you "need" the extra bottom end ?
i personally like the 25.4 full ported and recently did the lightened piston and seen alot more top end even ..
 
i want to have more top end. but don't plan on doing anything else to the mill besides the headkit and pipe. no porting or anything. with my 28.5's i gear for top end couse i lose some with the higher displacement. just don't want it to feel like the stock 23. with everything else im ordering the headkit will put me at the top of my budget, so i wana make sure i get the best i can for what i got.

hav you inspected the palting on the head ? at one point they had alot of plating issues .. and as for the CY top ends beend told by many that the 28.5 has the best plating outta the CY line .. this coming from doug ESP's mouth

Yes, they did have issues, this is quoted from the DDM add "Now featuring improved cylinder plating for increased durability." I haven't heard of anyplating issues for over a year now.

Have you ever watched the videos from O'neils? I watched the FG MT vids, all I can say is they apparently don't know how to tune a carb. Especially the MB with nitrous, what a joke. That thing is running so lean, it's a wonder it stayed running. I wonder how good their products really are?? I have no experience with their products and I am not dogging them, but if they can't tune a carb, are they going to be able to port a motor? If I am wrong, please let me know. :)

Just my opinion. I would hate to see you waste your money.

i have just recently purchased the 27.2 kit that BTB showed..haven't run it yet, so don't know how it performs...
 
are the gp290 ported heads better, and does a stuffed crank make a big difference versus a regular crank?
