Running my MT in the park, it was running great heard a pop from motor and engine died. Tried to start again but pull start wont move. Not sure if some debris is stuck inside or what. Once I get home ill take it apart, and try and figure it out. If someone has had this issue please let me know how it was resolved.

Thanks

Well here is the verdict!!!

Looks terrible!!! What do I do from here???

You're going to have to completely disassemble the engine to get all of that crap out. Basically a complete overhaul, bearings, seals, etc. Looks like you had detonation issues and blew a hole in the top of the piston. Either that or something broke loose and got hammered until the piston failed. Either way, it needs to be completely rebuilt.

How does the cylinder look? How does the plug look? Detonation would damage the plug, as well. If you can post pics of that, it would help.

I have to say Gizmo Motor has some great customer service. Sent them an email at 11pm, and got a reply in less than 5min. Ask me to upload photos, and told me to ship him the motor. Not sure what it's going cost me to fix, but from the pics he said I may have been running to lean. Either way I know it's part of the hobby, and once again the MT goes back to the work bench. The saga continues. LOL

I was wondering ...did some material from the head break off and do that damage! Dam that is nasty looking. I run a cmr4h in mine and that's a hot plug with no det issues yet ...........yet! Hopefully your up and running soon

wow . buzz kill for sho but, 1;16 MAKES A TON OF PRESSURE ! good luck with gizmo and rework. plug may not be cooling fast enough..its a guess.

the plug tip looks abought the right color-- question-- what type of gas you running? was it regular pump gas from your local gas station? also wondering what type & what ratio mix? This is just a uneducated guess-- lol-, if there was no air leak- looking at the piston dome-- it sorta looks like phase seperation may have occured-- this is when the ethanol thats mixed with pump gas seperates.--- big time leanout condition-- the area you live in has lots of moisture everywhere too-- this is another angle to think about also. just saying---- if this is fuel related issue-- hate to see you dust another engine---

if you have any of the same gas- oil mix left that was being used in the engine, you could pour this into a clear container - shake it up well- let it set and look closely at it-- actually- the plug color looks safe-- almost rich. strange huh?

Well sent the motor back to Gizmo today. They'll take a look and let me know. From the pics I was told I was running to lean. He kept telling me about some gasket was switched, cant remember which one he said. I tried to tell him I never touched motor except for switching carb. Didn't want to argue, told him you won can you please fix motor. Fill you guys in on verdict later.
