I was looking at some of the 5th scale trucks that heat hobby has, and wondering if they were any good ? what are the pro's & cons on these cheap priced trucks ? Compared to the king motor baja 5b are they any good. Out the box, can they keep up with the king baja & the box say's it goes up to 50 mph, is that true ?

whats your look on these trucks guys !

you allready got rid of your cen glenn? I didn't mind it. I sold mine more to thin the herd.

getting parts is the hardest thing. if you do buy one then google fs hop ups. they are in the netherlands but make some decent parts and have a dedicated forum

fs is an mcd clone mate. at the end of the day you get what you pay for, i've seen a few fs models and they've been good :D

Aha, I gotcha. If it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't know what an MCD was either. I'm not sure if they're widely available on this side of the pond.

On this side of the pond we have http://www.largescalerc.com/ .These guys are real good to deal with. Depending on what you buy there is someone that has it here or can get it.
I have had a fs for some years now ,they are cloned from a first generation MCD .MCD is up to V4 now.All the big companies have there clones .

You just need to find what is for you be it 2wd or 4wd. Then find how much you can afford. if you find something just post it up to get help with any questions
But be warned none are cheap an the addiction is unreal.:D

So good luck with your selection an have fun .:w00t:

yes i gave up on the cen it was just one problem then an other all the time so i stepped up to an mcd rrv4 comp an love it an i just got an hpi 5t

here's my opinion of FS in case you haven't bought it already

don't! best mate has one, Chassis is way too soft, even a small/medium jump with a nose landing will bend the front, guranteed. ive straightened his chassis after that many soft crashes.

Rear diffs are crap, bearings needs to be changed and the internal gears inside the diff are rubbish, the pins snap all the time. Front lower swing arms are made of butter and break very easily.

spend a little extra and go for a rovan.
