Just install a killer rc 6000mah lipo battery. Way cheaper than that hop up. Lasts forever.
 
how long last stock 2500mah receiver pack ?

With alternator you will never need to charge battery, its fine.

Any experience with this Helibug Powerbug Alternator?
 
Stock pack should last 3 tanks. The 6000mah lipo should last 6-8 tanks. Why would you need more than that?
 
I want to convert engine to electrical ignition system, which needs additional power.

With alternator no extra battery needed.
 
it won't get any quicker that way. those things are really designed for gas helicopters or airplanes that have a lot of demand on their on board batteries and they have been known to be easily broken on impact.
