hi all ,i have just used a helicoil kit for the first time ,i got it when i thought my exhaust threads were worn and the bolts kept coming loose ,but ended up realising they were not the right length so i didn't end up using it ,then today i thought i would finish my marder rear end rebuild and then remembered why i had left it ,i had snapped a screw in the new alloy diff holder ,so i thought "what have i got to loose" so i drilled a pilot hole and then drilled the right size hole through the snapped bolt , then tapped the thread and then screwed the coil in , and hay presto a very good strong fixing ,so i did all of them .. this is the kit ...................phil
