Well my nephews birthday is coming up!! He wants a 3D helicopter!! I've been looking around and found xheli.con and helipal.com....any of these sites any good?? I know xheli.com is pretty much nitrorcx and hobbypartz.....but my real question is ,whatt brand is good?? What's better than what these website sell?? I'm looking to spend no more than 450 on a RTF!

Helicopters crash..... A LOT..........

Find out what your local hobby store has the most parts for and go with that. :D

The new Blade 130X looks pretty sweet and seems fairly durable. Other than that, Align, Blade or Gaui are all fairly easy to get parts for.

My nephew loves watching people fly 3d on YouTube.. he maybe old enough to start flying!! I mean he's only turning 11 but he's very good at following instructions!! He picked up quickly on how to run cars! Right no he watched a video n YouTube on how to drift without a drift gyro, and now he's drifting my slash!! Lol I may just pick up a mini 3d heli for now just to get him used to flying!!

I believe it. I swear my 7yr old can controle his car better than me. LOL

if he hasn't ever flown a helicopter i woud recommend something like a blade cx2 or an sr120 to get started and get the feel for the controls then once he gets that down move up from there i know a guy that jumped right into helis with a blade sr he crashed that and went to a hobby shop and they told him the blade 450 was easier to fly so he bought that crashed it then repaired it he did that about 10 or so times before he finaly gave up on it all together and sold off everything then about a month ago he got the urge to fly again so i recomended that he start out with a cx2 he flew it had a few crashes but he got the hang of it then he got the 120sr a fixed pitch heli mastered it with no crashes then steped up and got the 130x he flies it around and loves it and he just got the 300x yesterday and is already flying it around like a pro in my opinion wouldn't start out with a 3d capable heli as a started unless you have a flight simulator like the real flight g6 or simular then as a 3d hei i would recomend blade or align but the blade helis come fully assembaled and test flown at the factory where align helis are a kit

one last thing if you go with either blade or align spend a little extra and go with the flybar less ones they are easyer to fly
