Hi guys i have a big problem with my fg baja, the breaks wont work very well it takes really long to stop, could this be the brake pads are worn our is the standard shaft break rubbish and needs replacing.

The standard layshaft brake is fine even though some say you must fit the upgrade kit. The chances are, your servo isn't strong enough or isn't set up correctly to pull the brakes on hard enough to get the best performance.
 
Or to much flex in your radio tray.

You can do a mod by fitting extra posts or buy a better radio tray, either a carbon or ally one.
