Hi all,
I have now ventured into the realm of 1/5 with a standard FG Monster Truck, second hand of course i'm not loaded !!!
Only upgrade is metal pinion and drive gear.
My problem is the layshaft gear is rubbing on the engine case, very badly and has cut a nice groove.
There is no drive at high revs and it appears the diff gear is puching it into the rear of the engine case.
The Diff gear and layshaft gear have bad wear and I need to order replacements I am just unsure what else I should test for or buy before installing the spare parts.
I get the engine may need realigning but is it possible the layshaft is bent or the bearings are warped to cause this.
Am I right in ordering a 48t diff gear and an 18t layshaft gear ?
