Ok, got my new shock that broke....2 tanks later, it doesn't wanna move. Reset the brake, and its not that. I get it off the ground...front and rear differentials still good, although the front was smokin a little. If I grab the front wheels together or the rear wheels together....it is so hard to turn the wheels, and theres a horrible grinding noise. I don't see the steel gears that turn are stripped, gonna take off the gear cover and take a peek. I can't tell where the noise is coming from... (steel grinding and binding the wheels movement) I am sorry, I am new to 1/5th scale, I just wanna tread lightly and not break the thing beyond my repair knowledge..... Thank you in advance! :)
 
Triple check the brake!! and then trace down every moving part. Pull drive shafts from center diff and see if u can find when its Binding.


My buddy had probs like this with his XT and it was the brake!! At first look thought brake was fine But when pulling it apart I figured it out.

I took cover off the gear housing.... allen bits stripped after 3 turn arounds.... dremmeled the rest off....ran up and down street... all is good now..with gears exposed.... have to order a new plastic housing for gears.... when i bolt it back in with phillips screws... let ya know how it drives then...
