help please regarding servos

guys i am confused about servos, them needing a bec & what battery set to run w/a bec. i'm sure it's simple but this is a lil outside what i do know.


trip reccomended this throttle servo to me but i am really confused as to if i just drop it in or if i need other things to use w/it.

The bec is what is used on electric cars that use a higher voltage. Too high for the RX and servos. That will drop right in.

can anyone make any other suggestions on a reliable yet more affordable servo? i am looking at getting 2 at one time. thanks.

Hitec mg 645 is what alot of people use there pretty inexpensive.i just bought one at a local hobby shop $28 dollars not bad ddm wants $34 so sometimes the local shop is cheaper than mail order and u get it that day...

hitec has the HS805bb that for steering and the 645mg for throttle those are the cheap as you can get and still get good ones

I agree. I have never heard of a less expensive servo that worked. The 805 and 645 to me, are about the bottom of the line. They are ok and will work. Not that fast and not that powerful, but are better that stock.
