Hello All,

I'm looking for some advice and I'm looking to hear your experiences with the vehicles in question.

I am thinking of purchasing one of two vehicles.

The Rovan RC RTR 1/5 Brushless Electric Buggy
Includes everything ready to run, battery, TX/RX, etc... - $850

Or HobbyKing's 260SC 1/5 Scale 26cc Short Course Truck
If I purchase everything needed (2 servos as well as a TX/RX) - $750

The difference is $100 and gas vs. electric. I know that both vehicles can be upgraded with HPI parts.

Just FYI, my driving style is mostly on road (asphalt) or large groomed grass fields. I don't do much bashing, no mud. I live in an empty development on a few acres of land so I have plenty of room to run, nice dirt and gravel patches. Fun without having to go find it.

Can you guys tell me what you'd choose and why? Or if I'm better off with something else...UNDER $900

Well I'm not a big fan of rovans. Which both of these are. Buddy of mine bought a rovan and the frame snapped just going over some rough bumps.

Yep hobbyking models are rovans as well. Check out kingmotors. My km has lasted over a year with no major part breakage other then a bad motor to begin with.

Have you consider a used one with upgrades? Often they are better deals than to buy a new one.
