Hello...

I have some problems with my FG 4WD Comp. When i am on gas in the corner the car just go straight forward an not turning so well.. What can i do? I looked at the Leopard 4WD and that one seems to turn excellent.. Is there som different in the diffs front or rear? Can i install limited slip diff at the rear and the one way bearing in the front diff??
Please help me find a solution..!!:)

Hi Robban, the Leopard 4 and the Comp Baja are two different animals in respect of set up, wish bones hubs and shockers although a lot of the 4wd system is very similar from what I can gather. I don't know enough about the fg 4wd set ups to offer any help but if you can give us some detailed photos of the steering arms and servo saver it might help.
What oil you have in the shocks & what sort of pistons you have, the diameter of the shock (are they the same as the original Leopard and marder race?) what tow out/in camber, caster are you running on the front & rear? Do you have anti squat?

One of my pet hates are anti roll bars on an FG off road car but thats another story lol.

Sorry I can't be of more help just now.

I've just had a look at the exploded diagram for both cars (which can be found on the hobbytek website) and the Leopard 4 has this diff in the front http://rc-car-online-shop.de/shop/e...differential-self-locking-fourfold-1pce-.html

and the standard open diff in the rear, your car has a standard open diff front and rear.

Do you think a selflocking diff or this http://rc-car-online-shop.de/shop/e...ompetition-use-in-fg-4wd-front-axles-set.html will be the best way for me to go??

The simple answer is, I don't know. If you read the text, you'd have to get rid of your front brakes and you should should consider, if it was a better option to put it on the Leopard 4 - why didn't they? The other diff works in the Leopard 4 then why wouldn't it be ok in you Baja?

Yes you`re right.. Maybe the best for me is to by a Leopard 4WD:D. Just kidding! Maybe i buy both options for my front diff! I still have front brakes, my car has 4 brake disks..

For next years racing season I'll be having both the 2wd and 4wd Leopards so I'll be able to do a load of testing and see what generally works.

The option to buy the various diffs it up to you but I'd just buy the one from the Leopard 4.

BTW go into the user CP and put your location on, it'll help you and others.
