well its here! so is my radio gear!

very very impressed with the car build quality looks impeccable a few small snags i came across if any of you guys can help :D

first off the brakes.

its got on it a hydro crank rear brake (its controlled by the throttle servo) i had to re-adjust the linkages and trim the servos movement on the handset throttle now opens 100% and i set the brake side to come on almost full at the end of the travel (if i use the brake and push it along with my foot it jsut slides with the rear wheels locked)

the front brakes are cable controlled off a separate servo (it uses a twin connector lead so both the throttle and front brake are shared by the throttle port on the receiver) set the brakes so they were firm on full braking but not that they will not lock up solid at speed took me a whilse to figure out once they are clamped on you need to set it so when the throttle is applied the cable if fed forwards releasing all pressure off the pads.

does that sound ok for the brake setup?

next is a servo interference noise i get. seems to get a high pitch squealing noise form all 3 servos when stood on servo idle/neutral? is this feedback noise from other radio signals or the metal chassis or is it because i am trying to run 2 servos off one receiver feed? (tried just using 2 but they still do it)
ideals (hand set is a 2.4htz setup)

the on car battery pack. has 5 aa rechargeable wired up fitted with the standard reciver battery connection. how do i charge these? is there a special charger i need? also what sort of time frame should i expect these to run? suggestions for a good 6v pack or a larger power source :) ???

next the car is fitted with an "unkown" black box. seems to take power from the battery pack into it, its a feed out to the receiver and 2 large power cables running into my engine? is this a coil/ignition for the spark or a fail safe device? my handset has a fail safe built in and i have set it for full brake incise of handset power loss/signal loss. i have opened up the box but it seems to contain lots of silicone and some circuit board in it (much like an ignitor unit for a car)

secondly for the main cog (not the clutch bell pinion the one the pinion turns) is plastic and has some damage to the teeth assuming its picked up some debris at some point all they all an industry standard for these ??

and lastly anyone have a link to a 26cc zhenoa engine? i have no idea how to start one of these or what all the needle settings should be.

any help to get me running tomorrow would be great :D:D:D

cant wait to blast this thing around a playing field!

it runs!!

got it all sorted. had to adjust the throttle linkage a tiny amount but all done :)

not been able to take her out for a blast yet due to snow/slush and its now dark but let it run for 10 or so mins on idle then tested the brakes etc. seems to go quite well :)
