My Carrier gear (big) that runs on the 14 tooth inlay gear that pulls the back wheels keep stripping. I am running the 26 Zenoah with the big bore kit and I have changed only one of the plastic motor mounts because the other was out of stock. I am wondering if the reason for me stripping these gears is because of the plastic mount. The 2 gears barely touch, it's either that the 2 gears are just worn enough were they do not engage, there is no other adjustment to get the gears to mesh.

Do you have pictures? I am not quite sure which gears you are stripping. Are you stripping the gears on the gear carrier (there are four gears on the carrier) or are you striping the lay shaft gear or center diff gear? Also which plastic engine mounts are you referring to, this is an MCD vehicle correct?

Sorry, I assumed you were talking about an MCD, I do not own an FG. I do however own a Firehammer MT which is similar to the FG MT. I have installed both the large and small alloy engine mounts on my Firehammer MT along with a steel spur and pinion gear and have not had an issue with stripped gears since. Below are a couple links to other threads on this forum that may be helpful to you. Good luck.
