Hi I was wondering if anyone can offer me any advice on a slightly bent chassis plate. I used my 1/5 scale buggy today and the fail safe did not kick in and yes it went into a small dry stone wall. I must add I was not going at great speed at the time. The impact was straight on from the front and the bumper (mod) took the impact. The only thing I have noticed is the shell does not seem to fit back on from the front point. Shell was not on when I had the crash. There seems to be a slight upward bend in the front , and you would not really notice as there are no cracks, splits or twists. The only reason why I knew something was up was when I put the shell back on and the front body pin seems to be 2 inches out from the pre cut hole ant the bumber seems to turn up more than before.
I don't really want to buy another chassis. Would this be easier enough to bend the front part of the chassis back again slightly. If so does anyone have advice, step by step on how to do this.
Many Thanks Chris

I cant help with the mutilator but believe it is comparable to an FG
but I know the fg when laid flat on a table has a kick up of 24mm to the front underside of the chassis as I had to re-tweek mine when I did my full strip down..
hope this gets you into the ball park...the alloy chassis's are great for sorting out every now and then..

Put the bent part of the chassie on a dead flat peace of granit or some thing like this, then hold down the flat part of the chassie, then push down on the front till you get the body mounts to line up.

Or you could just get a second hand one on the bay for about £25

I straightened my marder chassis using a mallet & couple of pieces of 3x2 that I had kicking about........
