So I've had my xt for a while and I love it! But I've only been able to run on my days off! I really wanna take it to work and run it on my lunch break!! But I'm scared to keep it in my car due to the extreme heat we have here in Chicago!! I can't keep it in my shop cause its some how a theft problem! (I don't know how) but do most of you guys keep it in you car for a long period of time like 4-5 hours before seeing the pavement?? If you do, do you keep the tank empty? I mean I'm just scared it might blow up in my trunk!
 
Ive carried mine around in the car here in the Carribean (where it is hot as hell). The gas can evaporate some and screw up your mixture, but other than that and the smell in your car, it will not blow up or cause permenant damage.
 
I run my tank dry every run. That way if some time goes by between outings I don't have to worry about the fuel.
 
hell ya dude it will be fine in your car just make sure the fuel tank is empty. I do it all the time and thank god I'm not alone lol.
