hi all! what about this combination?!?!?

i am new in the rampage wagon and i can tell you it is an excellent car.

i am using a stock g270 and am more than happy so you imagine with an engine like the one you are thinking.

thanks mate. i read a couple of your post, and look like you have not lucky with the front shocks. can you advise me what i will need replace soon?

the springs by the way are not good.

i will use the rampage ones or go for stiffer baja aftermarket ones

good, so my dealer for hpi (DDM) can provide me some things for the MT. like rims and tires too. btw something more to know before buy this? or just the shoks?

i had an mcd and a Smartech Titan before the Rampage TT and i have not regretted it one second.

i have 4 tanks by now and never used the stock engine. i have not installed anything from the upgrade kit and i am very happy with the car so far. apart from the shocks i had minor trouble with the alloy bit that holds the breakdisks. i think i forgot to put lock tight so it got a bit loose but still use it.

i got the car from ddm and they stock all spares for it so support is not a problem and prices are good. this forum is full of people that will help you out as they have done with me. i believe the car as reliable as a hpi baja and if you fix the shocks then it compares with the ss.

ooohhhhhhhhhhhhh

i forgot the stock servos are not to be used as you understand. i changed the throttle one since new and the steering died after 4 tanks abuse.

And you might have some difficulty installing a redneck hpi filter compo as you need to do some work around the throttle servo and linkage.

i cannot think of anything else at the moment.

that is defanitly a good combo. i have both the tt and mt and im more partial to the TT. grf pretty much said it all. fix the little things and get ready to smoke some 5b's. i am personelly tired of the MT tires. there just to heavy in my opinion. the hpi 5t/5b tires have great of a selection for us though. as far as servos the hitech 645 is perfect for the brakes and throttle and a duall hitech 745 are more then enough for the MT tires. i would just say to go over some of the pre-run lists that we have.. keep in mind the MT is very heavy. i had to upgrade to some alloy to keep it bash proof, but my TT is great in its stock condition. let us know if you have any other specific questions.

ps. i also had a 5b rtr and a 5bss. i sold both and now have 3 redcats. no regrets at all.

omg, you stole like 1:30 hour of my time with your youtube videos hehe!!

nice to see you here, as you can see im new at rampage world. let me tell you that your videos make me think a lot on my choice. :s now im thinking on tt and mt bodyshell of course. (btw with a kryptonite tuto hehe).

so i will need a good pointer for my purchase. and i think im in the correct place. thank you all!

good point!

i have several options. like roller+engine+radio+receiver+servos. or a stock one, and update the broken parts. thats my big question and doubt.

If i buy like a kit, i will buy directly hop ups and enhanced parts, a good engine.

But kryptonite make me think a lot. your cars look so reliable than i think the stock option is good and update while the parts are breaking.

well, my MT went thru plastic like crazy. i only replaced what needed to be replaced and its almost all alloy. my TT wich gets most of the abuse is all plastic. even running plastic gears. if i was to upgrade anything on it it would be the front stearing mount and the suspension arm pin holders. they bends on large jumps wich couses the diff cases to crack. up untill last week it had the stock shock shafts in it. they never broke but i had upgraded ones on the bench.. replacing as you go would be my option

that is the best kit for the money. that pipe is priceless when comparing it to the stock can. all of mine are V1's. just remember you wont get far with the stock throttle servo. maybe 10 minutes. im running the hitech 645($42) my stock stearing servo lasted 8 gallons.
