Hey guys.

I've been into RC for years, and I just found myself in possession of an FG Monster Truck.

A "friend" of mine owes me quite a bit of money, and in return for knocking $550 off his bill, he gave me his FG Monster truck, DX3 (original) transmitter and receiver, an extra JR XS3 transmitter, a cheap battery charger and some spare parts, a pair of 1/4 scale servos, along with a spare unpainted body

It does need a right rear drive axle, and is there supposed to be a cup between the axle and diff?

Did I get a pretty decent deal?

Hi mate , welcome to LSF, i think you got a good deal there as it has alot of extras including hydro's. nice one....

uhmm ya.. good deal for sure. those hydro's are about $300, the samba pipe is somewhere around $180 and the shell is more then $130. it probly needs about $50 worth of drive parts but no biggy. hey, what are freinds for? right..

Actually, I've wanted an HPI Baja for a while, and this just landed in my lap.

Now I'm trying to decide if I should keep this one, or sell it to get the HPI.

What do you guys think? What are the pros and cons?

Put the diff back together and give it a run... I bet you'll love the power! Easier to tune too.

P.S. If the spare body is an FG body, the price on those are about $150 complete..
