Will the High Tech 5755 mg steering servo be a drop in replacement for my dunerunner? Will it fit? Or do I need any special adapters? Thanks Dan

The hitec servos are a lil bigger but yes it will fit. You will not need the spacers behind the servos on the stock servo just use 2 new hole that you can make in the front of the servo mount and it will fit fine.

Dmart. You can read about others having issues with there servos glitching- jerking - If you buy a 5755- or even are using the stocker -throttle-steering, Its a good idea to use a wiring harness called - direct servo bypass. They are cheap to buy. Simply put, This by-pass harness -- bypasses the reciever- it will prevent the large current draw our large servos require from going tru the reciever- this is sorta hard to Xplain with words- Sudden servo loads can cause the reciever to not have enough voltage. this can cause the reciever and the kill switch to - spaz out- glitch- cause the engines ignition to cut in and out- A larger battery in the car helps prevent this- it is a ban-aid treatment. The Direct servo harness is the way to go, They cost about 12-13 dollars.

Caveman? i bought mine- for both buggies @ team go nads in Califorina. Outlaw brand - came from down under. unshure if they have restocked yet- there should be the same thing made in america- See cave-- there are 3 wires on a servo. hot, cold, control wire. it is not logical to feed the power wires tru the reciever- the added resistance- added heat to the poor reciever- these big servos rob the reciever-kill switch of voltage. if the voltage to the reciever drops too low- same with the kill switch- they can glitch. - this set up- only uses the control wire to go tru the reciever.-- it really helps.

Reading these threads helps to make sense of the electronics on the trucks. And cutting out the middle man (rx) makes sense then you have direct current less resistance. Right?
