I was bashing with my Rovan Baja 5b in my backyard track and was really having fun ... until it began tracking badly. I knew, immediately, that something was off. So, I killed the engine, went over to it, and saw that something was off, literally: one of the e-clips on the hinge pin of the bottom left suspension arm was gone. As such, that arm failed and the hinge pin, barely holding on was bent.
I hadn't a spare, so I straightened it with a hammer on the even garage floor, reinserted the pin and secured it with a spare e-clips. (That same day, I ordered spare hinge pins for the 4 corners of the buggy. Also, after the above mishap, after-bash breakage-checks became a ritual.)
A few days ago, after having had another enjoyable bash, I checked for breakage/failures. To my surprise there was another missing e-clip from a hinge pin, this time, from a front suspension arm. I guessed it was my luck that I caught it before the entire pin withdrew and caused a real problem.
Now, I'm left to ask: Where can I find hinge pins for the Rovan Baja 5b that carry nuts instead of E-clips?
