I was under the impression that the RTR FG Baja I have has a 805BB steering servo in it stock. After pulling mine out thanks to a stripper horn I discovered that the servo is actually a 9805MG.

I cant find any specs on this online anywhere, can someone help me please? Id like to know the torque of this servo.

Thanks

its not a hitec servo, the only info i can find on a 9805 is the towerpro servo. they claim 25kg/cm torque and 0.16 sec at 6 volts, but towerpro tends to over-rate their servos. they are a cheap chinese servo, haven't heard much about the large scale version but the standard size ones are very hit or miss, most people who run them carry a spare or 2.

mine definetly has a hitec sticker on it, ill take a photo tonight, weird.

maybe i got the number wrong, either way ill check tonight.

when I did a google search all I got was the towerpro as well which is strange.

I've had really good luck with the tower pro 1/4 scale servos. they are digital, fast and very strong. cheap too. 3 different rc's have had them and all are still going strong... one is 2 yrs old now

ok, that certainly looks like the HItec 5805 with an FG badge onit.

BUT i don't recall the Hitecs haveing that offset spot in the top case by the gear recess ( the rounded area). but i may of just never really payed attention befor as well.

ok had a close look last night and I must apologise. there is no hitec badge on it, there is an FG badge on it which they've made to look allot like the hitec symbol! its def. says 9805 so im guessing its a rebadged towerpro.

second question, does anyone know where I can get an alloy horn to suit this?
