I seems like most (not all) of you run Hitec servos. I am looking to upgrade my xb to better servos and battery. I am thinking about these two (for steering) and what to know what you all think.

The savok looks like the better one. Way more torque at 7.4v but will pull more juice. This should be ok with http://www.killerrc.com/product/7200mah-7-4v-rx-lipo-battery/. Do most of you go with Hitec because of the price or because it is a tried and true product?

Most recommend Hitec because it fits with the least amount of modification. That Savox as nice numbers but it is larger in physical size. I've always used the Hitecs and been happy with them.

This is what i'll be installing. Did alot of reading and nearly everyone is using Hitec. If I'm not mistaken I think Hitec has a 10mm shaft which is bigger than Savox. Again I went with what most people use.

Good to know about the size difference. I was just looking at the torque. Did not even cross my mind if it was going to fit or not...lol

Those parts make it a 100% bolt-in install. Nice.

Re: Hitec or Savox

Those are the servo mounts. You do not need the alloy one just will need to purchase a stock mount as it cones with the adapter pieces that are not included when u buy a x series cat.

Yep, that's the aluminum servo mount for the X-series vehicles. Not necessary but a nice part for sure. I used one on my XB.

That is the plastic version. The Hitec will bolt right in not the Savox. If you are going to run the Savox then you can just modify the stock servo mount,
