ok so the stock servo is ;well a stock servo. the hitec 5755 servo does not fit. what have u guys done? grind the tits off and redrill holes? just the top hole there is not much meat in the plastic cause it curves.

actually cause it makes that curve there is no room to drill the top bolt. kinda needs a whole new mount.

Don't worry there is enough meat there to properly secure the servo. Also dremel a little off of each end of the arched portion. The 5755 case is squared off, and they will rub the case and not let the holes line up.

ok. so grind off the upper tits on the mount and redrill the holes and make the mount fit where the servo is square. got ya

thanks. was gonna do it tonight but i got hijacked by my stepson. tomorrows another day.

so the hitec servo works. but its not blowing my socks off. would a BEC set for 6 volts make a noticeable difference? is there a better ( more power but not slower) servo out there

You need to move the steering link lower on the servo horn for more torque and speed. I have a thread on it somewhere. It makes a big difference.
