...yeah hand wound by who? the zigzag man? Stevie Wonder? Granted, it's not a lot of coin (respectively) to experiment on one of these but I'm a far bit away to consider this a can't-miss item until proven.

This is the motor from HK you should be looking at!

Hand wound! Enough said!
Ah yeah, it the same motor as I pointed out at the start of this thread.....??????

Anyway, I have ordered a mount plate from 7075 for this motor, he needs to know the thread patern and hole size, anyone got any info on that............?

Get me a copy of the specs ie-hole/mount patern and I tell you how it performs...... ;)

Well I ordered the skyrc 910kv that is the same size and will need the same plate made. I will order it soon so it will need to be kept on file. I have a feeling that alot of these motors will see duty.

I really want to be able to pull wheelie's on demand, so I'm starting to think I need to go with a higher kv motor, something along the 1800-2000kv range, but it would also need to be handle 10s at the same time, I have geared up to 18/41 on my 1090kv tp 5692 motor on 6s and I can keep the front up up once I bounce it up over a small mound and it will keep on pulling a wheelie until I back off, but not from a standing start, bumping up the voltage will help and it will lower the amp draw, but that's about it......time to look for some motor and esc updates, xmas present to self......LOL

To get the performance you want. Try the Hor Racing SSS5694 1200kv and run it on 8s. It eats tires but has the power your looking for. I put mesh over the cooling vents, so dirt doesn't damage the motor, yet it still cools the motor. I also use a Castle cooling fan. The motor sells for 99.00 plus 24.00 airmail. I got mine really fast. service is awsome!

Bigger is better

If your looking at great motors that run on 8s then I would try the TP power or the hor racing motors in that order. If you get the 1200kv motor start with the 10 or 11 tooth pinion. I started with the 13 and its to much speed. motor stays cool though.

I have a 7075rc motor mount, so the smallest pinion I have that will fit is 14t pinion coupled with a 46t spur, I know 7075 makes 48t spurs but they aren't made of steel so I guess I'll try it with the 14 first, I see you are still running with the 41t spur, that would be pretty quick with a 13t pinion , I have a HOR 1200KV motor on its way to try.....

Well I hooked up the new Horracing 1200kv motor last night and gave it a run on 6s, it was geared 14/46, I put a full set of batts through it and I was pretty impressed with the speed, it only got warm to the touch and the esc log showed it pulled 127amps and 3564watts, I was running on the road with baja knock off road wheels/tyres, so it will be interesting to see how it handles the wider off road wheels/tyres and geared 16/46 on 8s. So far so good.....
