After reading about the unavailability of the front flange bushing for the steering hub on my XB I figured I would attempt making some. I read thru multiple threads on here about them but didn't see a good sub for them. So off to my local Ace Hardware which has served me well with replacing screws and odd fittings of all kinds for RC cars.
I started with a wood fastener. Used for installing wheels or anything you can screw into it. The bore size is a little bigger then the stock flange so I did drill out a tiny bit of material off the plastic steering piece (don't know exact name). After trimming top edge and doing some dremel grinding I got the piece pretty close to stock. All in all, its steel, its fits and serves it function for about 70 cents and 10min on a dremel. Hope this helps someone that was in the same pinch as my self...

New piece on the left. My modded piece in the middle and factory black flange on the right. Sorry if my right up isn't that informative, I'm not the best at putting threads like this together.
