How do I install a pull start extension? Do I have to remove the rope or something ? Tell me! Want to add one when I get a pull start, but I don't want to take it apart, so if I have to take it apart I won't make/get one.
If u don't know what a pull start extension is it's this. Mine would just be made out of some stuff rubber hose or something cuz i don't really care about the looks of it as of now https://www.rcmax.co.uk/product-page/fonzie-rc-billet-pull-start-extender

What about slitting a piece of hose and slipping it over the cord??

Easiest way is to pull rope out of housing clamp something on rope at housing so you can take knot off on handle end. Locking pliers with rubbing or some sort of protection so teeth do not bit into the rope. Slide extension on put rope either back through handle and tie a knot or add another clamp on that end so you can release clamp at housing end. Slide extension down and thread into housing. At least that is how I would do it if I had one. But you are also giving up some rope length for starting so keep that in mind too.. What may come out lets say 12 inches may only come out 10 inches or less now. This is not actually but an example. So hopefully you have enough rope left in housing before it bottoms on full pull out and starts.

No it only grabs when you pull it. Once you pit the extension on and relax the cord it will release

So, I intend on doing what Phill said, just extending the rope and sliding a price of hose that is slit down the middle so you can pry it apart and just putting that on the rope. I'm not doing what rcmax is doing (don't see the need , sure the bling would be nice but, unnecessary, not a show truck) where it threads into the housing and y have to remove the handle. Should have stated that in the first place. So will that be ok?

The rope has to be long enough ,other wise ,it would bottom out an you would have a short pull!
some manufactures do put quite a bit of rope on there ,if there is ,all you have to do is untie the knot
on the handle ,but make sure that you pull some of the rope out of the housing ,an hold on to the rope so
it doesn't retract in ,I use tiny vise grips to hold the rope ,pull handle off ,slide extender on ,then put handle
back on an retie knot ,I usually put a tiny washer on with the handle so the knot doesn't slide through the
handle!
The rope is simple to replace as well ,you have to make sure that the spring stays in place ,some mans
make them easy to do so with a keeper plate ,sometimes there is enough room to wind the rope around
the pully with out taking it apart ,an sometimes you can take it apart where the spring stays in!

I had to take mine apart as the springs hook came out of the catch ,but got lucky that the spring had
stayed in its place ,if didn't ,my hands would hurt ,needle nose vise grips helps out with that too!...

Ok so I was wrong and I won't have a problem doing this. Awesome so when I get the PS I will be fitting a extender, if there's enough room. I want a extender cuz my cage is in the way and if I go to pull it, I will scrape the hell out of my hand.

No ,you should not have an issue ,if so ,w will hold your hand!....(y)

Pull the recoil handle all the way out , and tie a loose knot at the base of the rope near the housing, now the rope is relaxed and you can remove the T handle without having the risk of the rope being sucked into the housing. Remove the T handle, add your tube extension , replace the T handle, un-tie the knot and you are back in business.
