if a battery and a charger is bad?


i have 2 2000mah 6v battery for my rampage..charges them 3 times and now when i charge them they go to 325mah and 1100.these are new batterys maybe 2 weeks old..can anyone tell me if u can check to see if its bad or if a charger is bad
 
I would discharge them and then charge them more than one time....maybe your charger is timing out before it peaks them. Just an idea. That or try using a high quality digital peak charger so that you can monitor capacity.
 
The only way to really tell if the battery is bad is to cycle it a few times. If it still doesn't hold voltage after that then it's bad.
 
your problem is the 210 onyx has a safty timer built in and the charger times out before the batterys peak charge i had the same thing happen to me the safty timer is set for 90 minuites and shuts down the charger what you have to do is look at the mah write it down then restart the charger you my have to do this 3 or 4 times to get the batterys fully peak charged. I have found that the onyx 220 you can change the safty timer minuites i run the 4200mah battery and it takes 215 minuites to peak charge my battery. i went to the onyx 220 charger

I have the Onyx 230 charger for rec and bashing packs and every option to charge the battery is able to be changed. I if you lost the manual duratrax has the downlaod version. I have a 9000 lipo I charge for my slash 4x4 and I had to adjust the timer on it so the timer wouldnt stop it from charging.
