How do I get the red clutch spring on?

How is everyone doing this. Its very hard to get on. What tools are you all using?

LOL...Brute force...took me about 20 minutes of struggling with it...try hooking one end on and kinda twist the other end onto it...here's a you tube video i watched first; this guy struggles as well but makes it look easier than it is...

you hook the spring just like the picture shows. we have ground some on the front to make easyer

if you have the new hy engine the clutch shoes are not made like the cy and zenoah you need to counter sink the holes bigger and bevel the inside edge of clutch shoe and it will make the install very easy. hy made that spot more square than the cy or zenoah clutch shoe

However I do it by hand. I put the spring on both halves, match them up tilted, then squeeze them apart making them flat at the same time.

i did it my hand with the assistance of wrapping in a towel first. Actually was not to bad

I take the shoes off, put the spring on then install the shoes
