I'm trying to find out if my clutch is shot, how do I get to it, I can't find any videos on youtube or anything that's helpful really.

Edit:

I found a diagram showing me where the clutch is, can the gears stay on the gear plate or do I need to remove the gears too before removing the gear plate?

how is removing the engine less head aches you still have to remove the gear plate to get to the clutch right, I got the gears off themself got all the screws on the gear plate out but the gear plate just will not pull off, it's wiggles loose. The little wheel things that the gears sit on, are those suppose to come off too or am I missing something?

The clutch is fastened to the engine. You can see it in this pic.
