well i looked into this myself and what companies told me was they wanted to see a decent sized active member base because this would make them more likely to sponsor a forum if they knew they had a better chance of getting sales.

you could also try persons who are trying to start up a small business related to what your forum is geared towards like lsf is for large scale rc tehy would want to have vendors and sponsors who make large scale rc kits, and parts
