take the diff out, open it up, and and pack it full of silly puddy. if you want it to be permanant, mix up a crapload of jb weld up and pack it into the diff and seal it up.

Ok i did some reading on this, i wanna make it permanent so can anyone give me some step by steps on how to do this? How hard is the rear diff to take out? Is there any grease or anything in there?

It isn't hard to take out and there is grease in there. Just take everything around it apart to get to it. There really is not other way.

Thanks,
Alex

Silly Puddy is about as permanent as you would want. There are other upgraded rear ends you can buy to adjust the diff but they are spendy. Take it apart and yes there will be some grease in it. The upgrade you could do is the alloy cage, ss case and silly puddy and it would be a great diff.
You should get yourself some wd-40 its a great way to soak your gears and stuff in to remove the grease completely. You can buy a gallon of wd40 in many auto stores. Believe me once you have a gallon you will never need to buy again, and you can pour it into small cans to soak items or put in a spray bottle and save yourself some $$ from the aerosols.

Here are some photos of the diff. https://www.largescaleforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=648

I would recommend posting FGMT questions in the FGMT area to reduce confusion.:)

I have found that silly putty is very temerature sensitive. I run 3M automotive weather strip putty in my Mgt and my FG mt. It stays the same consistency through winter and those hot summer all day runs. Works well for me. Just a thought
