Hello everyone this is my first 1/5 scale and i love it.. Ok i have always had 1/8 scale nitro and electric so i am not new to rc world. So i brought a used baja 5t it has a Trever Simpson 30.5 billet engine, tuned pipe,, upgraded servos, killer bee fail safe. So here is where i need help the suspension needs help does not seem to be race ready. This truck also does have a two speed tranny and not sure if that will work for racing. If anyone can help with links to parts needed or set up suggestions it will be very helpful. Thanks:) for any help Mark. I posted this in the general section not get much help so i figure i would try it here.baja.webp

Ok could you be more clear what is the suspension problem? Exactly what is it doing or not doing Not to sure by what you mean race ready??? What are they running at the track you want to race at? Have you even raned it on the track that you are wanting to race on? To see if its race ready or not?

by race ready i mean a competitive setup the only track i have ran on is a practice track. the suspension feels very soft and fast rebound bottoms out easy and does not absorb even small bumps well. I did not know if the stock shocks could be made to work well.

Judgeing from your pics it looks as if you have the shocks all of the way down there should be any bottom out from that far down have you check the seals in the shocks? and check the shock shafts. and as I mentioned above the thick shock oil.

I bought the truck used so I have no idea the shock oil wt now any idea on a starting point weight. Thanks for all the help.
