How do you mount your bug shell?

Right - what is the best way to mount my bug shell?? :confused::confused:
Not sure where the std mounting posts are fixed but I reckon I will have to make something anyway cos I have an ally roll cage on this marder so it doesn't have the fixing points for the posts on the frame.
How are yours fixed? Pics will help if possible :D
 
hi mate have a look in my albums sure theres some but there mounted to stock rollcage so you might have to drill cage and get some alloy rod or plastic stock mounts ive only got a post each side and two on the rear of the roof,,,front just sits on shock tower,but my body is mounted as low as i can get it

I may have to swap the cage over with my other marder if it proves to be a problem. Im sure I can come up with something tho :rolleyes:

What do you think to a 1 piece wing wrapped under the chassis & screwed to it or bolted thru? It would add strength to the central part of the chassis that always seems to bend in a big off.....

Thats an old pic! Working tomorrow but will nip out to Maplin on Edge Lane for an ABS box for my kill switch & receiver then just need to mount the shell. I will bring it to Liverpool when its finished if you fancy a bash 1 night.

they are screwed on using the holes in the sides of the chassis that the Marder shells plastic rails usually screw into. One wing for each side.
The only part of my roll cage i use now is the wing mount that screws to the rear shock tower
