In 6 years I will retire from the military... and I hope to get a job with the federal prison system... then I can put in the same long hours as I do now- but get paid overtime as well... I cant imagine :D

As I have mentioned in a couple of other posts... my wife rolls her eyes every time I buy something for this hobby- but she never says a word because I have another hobby that makes money. I do leatherwork and all proceeds to toward better trucks and better parts :D Here is a book cover I finished a couple of days ago.

So, how do the others keep from blowing the family budget?
That is awesome Joe, I love the detail,I make pots and cups and bowls etc, throwing clay on a wheel, I don't make much money from it, I give most of it away to friends and family, but I love how much pleasure I get from it, its very theraputic.

Really nice work Joe!...does that come from your head or do you look at a pattern and try to replicate it...really incredible!

I have painted houses, scrapped metal, fixed computers....whatever I can for RC money!

Awesome leather work Joe I wouldnt want to part with it. You should do a Redcat one I bet one of the guys on here would buy it in a second.

Normally I find a pattern already made, but sometimes there is not such a thing to fit the theme or space... so I make one up...

Awesome work Joe!! Oh, and I pay for the addiction the good old fashioned way....with money I don't have!!

Awesome, dude!

Elevator mechanic in new York city, so hold the scrap copper for a few weeks and cash in a decent amount if possible.. never enough money for this hobby.. you find something u want or need, save up for it and then find something you "need" more that cost more right before you make the purchase. Its a vicious cycle

I am not really addicted to anything. Here is a novel way to pay. Its not actually backed by anything other than a promise- but these notes say- not legal tender for all depts public and private. These notes should be legal tender off shore- bout 500 miles depending on what country they are near.

i drive drunk people to and from bars on a shuttle called "the drunk bus" and i get 10 an hr plus 25% of my tips < second job play money, then i work at advance auto during the day at 11 hr which pays the regular bills soooo
