Just curious. Weights without fuel/batteries.

My:
Vekta.5 is 48.2lb with esp34cc and Treps

Vesla is 40lb with Max5/800kv and most of the aluminum upgrades.

Baja 5b is 26.4lb with Castle 8s/800kv, aluminum extended arms, diff case, and shock towers.

I'll be testing these rigs out tomorrow and I'm really curious to see how the Vesla does against the Baja. They essentially have the same power plant but the Vesla weighs 14lb more.

Subbed to see how the test went. I can’t believe the Vesla is 14lbs more than the Baja. My Vesla will have the same power plant minus the aluminum arms - curious to see how much it weighs when complete.

Also, do you have the quick release kit for the Vesla? I’m curious to know more about battery accessibility with the cage on AND with the tower to tower brace.

I do not have the quick disconnects. It will be a tight fit, but I can reach my hands through the cage and strap the batteries in. I do have the 12s plates, so a little easier to access since they are flat.

I grabbed the 12s plate too due to having large 4s batteries already. Happy to hear it’s doable without taking the cage off

Bad Arse fleet. Definitely looking forward to your thoughts. Power is one thing and we all like it but how the power is used and put down is truly how good an RC is no matter the MFG or PWR.

I have the TZZ Titanium Kraken Vesla Complete Quick Release cage kit and i hate it for how Expen$ive it is but the function is almost worth the co$t. It literally took me less than 10sec to take mine off.

I'll get out there later today, got some surprise rain this morning. Just from putting around my driveway to make sure everything functioned, I already know the stock Kraken tires are going to be horrible on a 2wd vehicle.

They suck on 4WD too. Good allaround tire i suspect. Kinda like a BFG AT. Good for 65% of wheeling down the tarmac and long wear. I am eyeing some AKILL 195's for the back and undecided on the front.

The verdict!

Vekta: was amazing. I absolutely love those Trepadore tires. For it's size and weight, that 34cc engine makes it move!

Vesla: Terrible... those kraken stock tires suck, and it was like driving on ice. I took the DDM diggers off the Baja and put them on the Vesla. That helped alot. All the extra weight shows. It is slower than the Baja with the same powerplant and doesn't jump for crap(im not high jumping. Im talking over a grass knole). Also, the plastic in the hubs is brittle and breaks easily and the extra weight doesn't help.

Baja: Handles like a champ. The lighter weight makes it more nimble. I'm pretty disappointed in Kraken right now. The only part I broke on the Baja was the shock cap, which was made by Kraken. Between my Baja and Vesla, I would 100% take the Baja.

One of my lighter bajas for sure, has a bartolone 40 in it also. Still under 40lbs with bigbore power
