ran another tank on sat, which happend to be over 35 degrees c and seemed to start idle and run nice, i thought it might be lacking a little up top but thats prolly just my paranoia.

got myself an outlaw filter and v-stack set up which im going to try out soon.
 
I know the best way to keep the air filter perfectly clean forever... Put it up on a shelf and just look at it.

Not an option? Didn't think so. It wouldn't be for me either.

I wonder if you can put on too many covers and whatnot and actually choke out the fresh air going into the motor? I know at one time I had the stock FG filter, covered in pantyhose, covered with the TGN redneck, covered with the outerwears filter bag... Man that's alot of covers! :lol: I never had to clean the stock filter with all that mess on there, but the outerwears bag is a pita to put on over the redneck with the JetPro in the way!
 
+1 to that, even the TGN with my pipe is a pain!

im sure you could choke it with too many filters, too much oil on the filter can choke it too but ive never experienced that.

just got back from getting a hose clamp for the outlaw, clean and oil tonight and bolt her up
 
I have to put a screw in my front upright and mine will be back together after it's been down for over a year. I just did a thread on fixing the layshaft gear in the fg's, now I can put her back together and get her snowy tomorrow! As I am talking to a man that deals with 100 degree heat in January! I make snowmen in January!:lol: You guys have to put on sunscreen and stand in the shade! That's crazy...
 
i prefer it to snow LOL! easier on the electrics!

it hit 38 degrees celcius on sat just gone and i was running my FG in it LOL. no shade where we were so yeah the sunscreen came out.
 
LOL it only snows in certain spots, Mt buller, Lake Mountain and a couple of other spots. And only a couple of months out of the year will there be snow there. As a whole, metro and country area's a real cold day the max will be 15-18 degrees c. On a hot one it can get over 40 degrees c.
