Here is a quick item I use to store my toys in the house. This little item can be made with smaller tubing and end caps if your pipe is a bit smaller then the ones shown.

You will need some tubing the size of your pipe. I used a piece of heater tube sold by the foot at the auto store.
You will need a cap of some type. I used a copper plumbing cap.

Put the cap in the end and push it in place. The rubber tubing will seal against the cap.

Here is the cap installed on the DDM pipes I have.

You can see the oil that it catches. The nice thing about the cap is the oil sits in the cap.

I found some oversize foam plugs at work that I use. Either they were for a giant ear, or they were paint masks or something like that.
